Similar to bad weather hit the northwest the prior day, the home side swept Manchester United away at the their home ground. It was a convincing three-nil triumph for Andrée Jeglertz’s side due to goals from Knaak, Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a performance that clearly signaled their championship potential as they consolidated their position at the league summit.

Successive Losses for United

This result signalled successive league setbacks for Skinner's side for the maiden instance since May 2024, leaving them seven points off the table toppers with their trophy ambitions severely dented.
